US publishers Grove/Atlantic have used a concept from the AMC drama series Mad Men dvd as the basis for a new book.
The critically-acclaimed show's fourth season followed the character of Roger Sterling Jr, played by John Slattery, as he wrote an autobiography of his career in advertising and his thoughts on life.
The publishers have announced that they plan to convert the fictional title into a real edition ready for release at Christmas.
"Sterling has acquired quite a reputation among his colleagues for his quips, barbs and witticisms," Grove/Atlantic told The Guardian about their decision to write the character's book.
Sterling's Gold: Wit and Wisdom Of An Ad Man will also feature a preface from Mad Men box set creator Matt Weiner.
