White Collar's Matt Bomer Calls for Religious Tolerance

As the slogan goes, characters are welcome at USA Network. Now, the cable outlet is taking that sentiment one step further with its "Characters Unite" series of PSAs. In the campaign's latest video, White Collar dvd star Matt Bomer takes a stand against religious intolerance. "While we can disagree about the past and we can argue about the future, we're all here now, together," Bomer says.

Besides the new PSAs, USA Network has launched a "Characters Unite" website to encourage others to "stand against intolerance, prejudice, discrimination and hate, and to promote greater understanding and acceptance." USA will donate $1 to nonprofit partners, including the Anti-Defamation League and the Children's Defense Fund, for every individual pledge made until Dec. 24 box set.

Jennifer Jason Leigh Files For Divorce From Noah Baumbach

Jennifer Jason Leigh has filed for divorce from her husband, director Noah Baumbach, after five years of marriage, People reports. The 48-year-old actress, who co-starred in Showtime's Weeds dvd last year, filed for divorce on Nov. 15 in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. Leigh, whose movie credits include Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Last Exit to Brooklyn and Single White Female, is seeking spousal support and primary custody of their 7-month-old son, Rohmer, with visitation for Baumbach. Baumbach, 41, met Leigh in 2001 when she was starring in the Broadway play Proof. They married in September 2005. The pair collaborated twice during their marriage: Leigh starred in Baumbach's 2007 directorial effort, Margot at the Wedding, and they co-wrote the 2010 Ben Stiller film Greenberg, which Leigh also starred in.

Watchmen Star Malin Akerman To Replace Lindsay Lohan In Porn Biopic

After "Inferno" director Matthew Wilder announced he was moving forward with the Linda Lovelace biopic without Lindsay Lohan on Saturday, the troubled starlet has reportedly already been replaced by blond stunner Malin Akerman, according to People.

"Lindsay had scheduling issues due to legal obligations and is continuing to focus on getting better in rehabilitation in Palm Springs, and she really had to focus on that in our opinion and hers," the film's producer, Chris Hanley, told the mag. "For herself and her career in general it was really her decision to just focus on getting better psychologically."

Malin Akerman, 32, is best known for playing Vince Vaughn's on-screen wife in "Couples Retreat," and the smoldering Laurie Jupiter/Silk Spectre in 2009's sci-fi superhero film, "Watchmen dvd." "Malin was passionate to take this challenge of the role to task," Chris told the mag. "And we feel she has the talent to meet that challenge."

Wisconsin Man Shoots TV when Bristol Palin Dancing

A Wisconsin man has been arrested after he fired a gun at his TV when Bristol Palin performed on Dancing with the Stars dvd and then held police at bay in a 15-hour standoff. Due to a criminal complaint filed in Dane County Circuit Court, Janice Cowan told police that her husband, Steven Cowan, 67, became enraged when Palin started dancing on Monday's show. She said he screamed, "the politics," because he was upset that Palin, daughter of Sarah Palin, was still on the show since he believes she's not a good dancer.The complaint said that Cowan, who had been under stress because of a financial situation and was being treated for a mental health problem, later retrieved his shotgun and fired it at the television. After demanding for the rest of his pistols, Cowan reloaded the shotgun and pointed it at his wife, the complaint said. Janice Cowan left the house and drove away to call 911 to the complaint.

'Mad Men' biography to become a reality

US publishers Grove/Atlantic have used a concept from the AMC drama series Mad Men dvd as the basis for a new book.
The critically-acclaimed show's fourth season followed the character of Roger Sterling Jr, played by John Slattery, as he wrote an autobiography of his career in advertising and his thoughts on life.
The publishers have announced that they plan to convert the fictional title into a real edition ready for release at Christmas.
"Sterling has acquired quite a reputation among his colleagues for his quips, barbs and witticisms," Grove/Atlantic told The Guardian about their decision to write the character's book.
Sterling's Gold: Wit and Wisdom Of An Ad Man will also feature a preface from Mad Men box set creator Matt Weiner.
